We are looking for someone to develop and implement sales strategies to market Safety Products, PPE, Tools, Fire Equipment and Industrial Equipment sales on the backing of our strong principals and own brands to high quality distribution while maximizing sales and profit growth in accordance to company objectives. Support corporate clients and distributors to maximize sales, and drive profitable growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increase the market share of products in the Coast region by active interaction with key clients, potential clients and distributors.
  • Develop and execute a written market plan for the territory to attain annual and long-range sales goals.
  • Evaluate and assist in the development of each account in market areas by establishing a positive long-term partnership.
  • Actively seek and establish new distribution that meets the required guidelines for the market area.
  • Maintain effective communication with all appropriate personnel regarding products, and solutions.
  • Provide positive leadership to branch personnel by educating them on products and business management strategies.
  • Collaborate with Head Office to analyze region needs and opportunities, and submitting proposals to the Managing Director.
  • Provide the highest quality service.
  • Support all corporate programs and policies as to project an innovative and positive image for Specialised Hardwares Limited.

Requirements: Education, Experience and Required Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree from college or university and five years direct sales experience

Additional Desirable Qualification and Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience developing sales strategies and plans, implementing them through specific tactical activities.
  • Results oriented, performance driven to achieve organization, region, and individual goals
  • Proven skills prospecting, developing opportunities, closing new business, and growing existing accounts in a premium product sector.

  • Collaborator, teaming mentality within region, across job position, and with corporate teams
  • Relationship management including the ability to effectively work with and communicate with multi-functional groups both within and outside the company to drive strategic objectives.

  • Effective communications including presentation, written, and verbal, ability to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences
  • Problem solving
  • Excellent computer skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent travel in the field within the Coast region, making scheduled face-to-face calls.

Work Environment:

  • Will be located at Mombasa town office
