We are looking for someone to grow the sales of hand, power and cutting tools, on the backing of our strong principal brands to high quality distribution while maximizing sales and profit growth in accordance to company objectives. Support corporate clients and distributors to maximize sales, and drive profitable growth

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and grow the market awareness and demand for the brands of tools stocked, distributed and sold by Specialised Hardwares.
  • Offer both end users and distributors the correct and optimal tooling solutions.
  • Ensure that clients are aware of the full range and capacity of tools available at Specialised Hardwares Limited.
  • Liaison with suppliers, both locally and internationally, to provide best tooling solutions at the correct price.
  • Provide all branches and sales personnel, pricing, availability and logistics on all their clients' tool requirements.
  • Develop and execute a sales plans for each client and sales representatives to attain annual and long-range sales goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with all customer key personnel regarding products, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director to analyze total key client needs and submit proposals for optimal stocks for relevant products.
  • Management of inventory/stock of the Tool Shop.
  • Facilitate workshops for users on new products, and correct & safe working regimes.

Requirements: Education, Experience and Required Competencies

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of tools. A diploma or degree in technical/ mechanical/ engineering fields although not mandatory, will be an advantage

Additional Desirable Qualification and Competencies:

  • Past experience in sales and/ or handling of tools.
  • Results oriented, performance driven to achieve individual and tools department goals.
  • Awareness of the tool markets and players in both users, distributors and suppliers; and a proven record of networking with them.
  • Relationship management including the ability to effectively work with and communicate with multi-functional groups both within and outside the company.
  • Effective communications including presentation, written, and verbal, ability to effectively interact with engineering personnel.
  • Problem solving.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • LEAN thinking, nimble to drive change that enables efficiencies, solves problems and drives growth

Work Environment:

  • Based at Nairobi head office.
